Martin de Porres House of Hospitality welcomes every guest with dignity. We serve lunch Monday through Saturday, offer weekday showers, and rely entirely on volunteers and private donations to keep our doors open.
Martin's is a free restaurant and community of hospitality rooted in compassion, understanding, and love. Every person who comes through our doors is welcomed as a guest and treated with respect.
We receive no government funding and have no paid staff. The work continues because volunteers show up, donors give personally, and the community believes this kind of place should exist.

A full lunch is served Monday through Saturday in our dining room. Meals are often vegetarian, frequently vegan, and always offered in the spirit of dignity and welcome.
What to expect: lunch is served from 12 PM to 2 PM, with takeaway available if guests bring a container.
Guests can access showers on weekdays on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a practical service, but it is also part of how Martin's offers care and respect.
What to expect: showers begin at 10 AM and run through the lunch period.
Martin's is not only a meal program. It is a place where people are known by name, welcomed without conditions, and treated as guests rather than as a problem to manage.

Every gift goes directly to our guests. We receive no government funding and rely entirely on individual generosity. Martin's is a 501(c)(3) — all donations are tax-deductible. We send handwritten thank you notes to all donors.

We welcome lunch volunteers Monday to Saturday, from 9 AM to 3 PM. If you can't do the whole shift, that's not a problem; we appreciate any support you can offer. No sign-up or advance notice is required — just show up!

We welcome small groups of one-time volunteers, though we can only accommodate up to 4 people at once. Larger groups can be split into different shifts. Call to see what days are available based on the size of existing crews.
